FAMILIA!!!!!!!
What's going on? I pray that all is well with you and that you're not missing me too much! There are two elders in my zone, Elder Fundora and Elder Monahan. Fundora is going to Madrid and Monahan is going to Mesa, and every gym time we workout really hard and we sweat, but we want to be in shape when we hit the field. I haven't started getting fat yet even though I eat so much.
That sounds fun that you will be going to the family reunion. We'll probably be pretty close if I'm still at the MTC. Supposedly they have trouble with missionaries meeting up with their families on temple walks, so I would be down for meeting you at the temple, but there's this whole thing with strict obedience and getting blessed for it, so we probably shouldn't meet up. I had the opportunity to go to the Provo Temple today, and it was a great experience. It's just awesome going through the temple and being able to feel of the spirit that is there. I loved it. I also love getting dear elders!!!! Cause I get them every night and I only get emails once a week.
Anyways, I've had a lot of cool experiences to share, so I'll just write until my time runs out. I think it was yesterday, or maybe it was saturday that we were in class, and our teacher (who is colombian)told us to plan out a short lesson of how to get referrals from the members. I started my planning with a prayer, and then I had a powerful experience. As I was planning, I felt that I was planning specifically for a family in Spain. It was weird. I was finding scriptures, talking about being friends and examples, and I just knew that I was going to be sharing that lesson with someone. It was awesome. The Spirit was so strong and I was inspired in what I wrote, and I'm excited to get over to Spain and to share that lesson. Another cool experience... this week we are learning how to teach the plan of salvation. I drew a plan of salvation up on the board during free time... and you know how that is. Think of my family home evening lesson where I did that, but times it by 10. I didn't leave anything out! I nailed everything. People were impressed about my Plan of Salvation knowledge. I think that's one of my favorite things about this gospel, is the plan that we have laid out before us, and the wonderful promise of eternal life that we have if we hold true to our covenents and keep the commandments. Now I just have to learn out to teach that in spanish! I can do that. I have started memorizing scriptures in spanish to use in my lessons, and I've gotten a few down. If you thought memorizing in english is hard, try memorizing in spanish. it's near impossible!!!! My teacher last night told us that when we incorporate scriptures into our lessons and just quote them from memory and use the scriptures as our words, that the spiritual level of the lesson jumps a ton, and that is just what I desire. I desire to be a powerful missionary like Ammon or Zeezrom or those missionaries, and I can do it, because "the Lord grants unto men according to their desires."

So, there's great news. Missionaries in the old district have started to get their visas. I'm guessing that mine is coming soon. Within the next few weeks hopefully? One elder turned his in 3 months, one elder turned his in two months and three weeks... could I get mine soon!?!?
At lunch today I sat next to the director of international MTC's and I talked to him for a few minutes, and he said that if I have one more week left, then I go to Spain! That means I'll probably get to go there and I'll probably get to go to the Madrid temple! WOOO my prayers might be answered. Oh yeah, when I sat down at lunch today and said my prayer, the head of some department ( he actually gave the fireside on sunday) at the MTC stole my food and thought he was a crack up! Talk about putting off childish things!!!
I got your dear elder dad, and I've really been hitting spanish hard. I can understand a ton of spanish, and I can read my scriptures in spanish, but it's speaking that's hard! Oh well, I'll get there.
Shouts to friends-
AYE BAC- I got your email. You're a stud, and the wizards don't stand a chance against the heat and my boy Lebron. How's work?
Chris S- You're the man. How's your summer going?
Alright, I have to go, but let me leave you with my testimony. I know that Jesus is the Christ, that He suffered, bled and died for us, and that through Him we can be happy and return to live with Heavenly Father. (I can say that all in spanish- boo yah) I'm excited to share this message with the people of Spain, that Christ lives and loves us. I know that my Redeemer lives!
With all my love,
Elder Pericle
